FG bans Ogogoro, to consifiscate substance


The Federal government has officially ban the local gin called Ogogoro following several deaths in Ondo and Rivers states after the consumption of the substance.

The ban was announced by the DG of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Dr. Paul Orhii .

He revealed that 38 persons died from consuming ogogoro in Rivers state recently while several casualties where also recorded in Ondo state.

According to him, All banned products will be confiscated and destroyed.
